Our survey will gather data pertaining to the potential influences and attempt to extract the true cause of this lack of racial minority participation in natural resources through the implementation of a questionnaire. We arranged our questionnaire according to broad categories such as: individual demographic information, geographical location, cultural and educational background, natural resource philosophy, and various current/childhood involvement regarding natural resource activity. Our survey will be disbursed through the survey development and distribution software, Qualtrics. We sent our survey out through various means such as email and Groupme messaging. Due to this use of social media in the distribution of our survey, this will be defined as an open web survey.
